PKD support involves people’s health and people’s money. This page sets out how funds are raised and used, how patients are selected for assistance, and what Hope4PKD will report, with the reporting period, definition, method and approval beside every figure.

No percentage split is quoted here, because none has been audited. When one is, it will appear with its reporting period and method rather than as a slogan.

Donations and campaigns
Funds come from individual donations and verified patient campaigns. Online donations open once payment, finance, fee, refund and surplus controls are approved; until then no bank details or checkout appear on this site.
Used
Patient support, recorded case by case
Financial assistance is paid against a verified case and recorded with the provider it was paid for. Allocations and disbursements are recorded separately from donations, so the two can be reconciled and reported.
How patients are selected
Assistance follows a documented review, not a queue.
Eligibility
Who can ask, how requests are prioritised, and the grounds on which a case can be declined or put on hold.
The support process
What is assessed at each stage of a case, who assesses it, and what a decision at that stage means.
Campaign publication standard
Why a patient campaign goes public only after medical and cost checks and with the patient’s consent.
Control framework
How support and funding will be governed.
Case verification
Medical and programme staff review different parts of a case. Each role can access only the information it needs.
Public campaign record
Campaign pages use a separate, approved record. Private medical and case data stay private.
Financial records
Donations, fees, allocations, disbursements, refunds and subscription status are recorded separately.
Consent record
Each publication keeps the approved identity level, story consent and consent version.
Decision record
Sensitive actions record who acted, why and when.
Policy approval
Donations, refunds, campaign surplus and reporting stay off until approved policies exist.
Results and reports
Every published result needs evidence.
Reports will separate verified results from targets, and each figure will carry its source and reporting period.
